The Hamstring Muscle group is found on the back of the thigh. It is composed of 3 separate muscles that cross both the Hip Joint and the Knee Joint. The hamstring muscle group functions to restrain trunk flexion (Bending at the Waist), and is active during walking, jumping, running, and biking.

 

Sciatica is the “longest nerve” in the body, it is located in the lower lumbar region – and it goes all the way down past the gluteus maximus and into your thigh (and all the way to the tip of your toes).
